Over the last couple years, my '90 has been leaking more and more oil. Best I can tell it is the rear main seal. Has anyone replaced this in your garage? I am very capable mechanically, but this looks like a real PITA and I am debating just taking it to a shop. Time is not particularly of the essence as the Maxima is no longer my daily driver. Any opinions?

How about the front seal? Last oil change I noticed some oil coming out.
Is this an easy job? Think I'll just put J/B weld all around it.

A seal softener product may solve your problem, However do not use a seal softener if you are leaking at the front crank seal or cam seals. The chemical can damage the timing belt. Take your car and presure wash the motor. Watch it over the next day or two and you will see where it is leaking by the fresh oil. If you ever replace the timing belt, be sure to replace the front crank seal and cam seals while the belt is off.
Has anyone seen an oil leak at the UDP? I think mine is doing that, or maybe from the oil pan seal but its not clear.
