Injector connectors

How do these things come off . I have been pulling on them but they dont seem to budge. I have a VG30. Do I have to take off the upper plenum to remove the connectors ? Tehy have never been off before - is that the problem?

Seriously though, use a pair of needle nose pliers on the plug release clip..Just be very careful not to break the plug...

So I squeeze the tab with needle nose plies and pull straight up ? I did put a screwdriver to them and listened. they are all ticking in a very healthy way. Is that sufficient indication that they are working or do I have to OHM them out.

Ohm them, and you don't need pliers.

the only connector you can remove off vg injectors without pulling the plenum is the #4 (front center) and it's still tricky. The ve is cool because you can get away with buying just 3 new injectors and throwing used in the front because you can replace any of the 3 front injectors in 5 minutes. so you basically save 50% on injectors and still insure you won't have to pull the plenum for a long time. in order to get that peace of mind with the vg, you need to shell out around $600 for 6 new injectors.
