40,000 Miles Maxima

Well I was at University today and forgot to turn off my fog lights before going into class. When I came out 3 hours later, my car would not start.

Anyhow, as I was searching for my bro's car in the parking lot, so he can jump start my car, I came across a Maxima just like mine but in mint condition except that it was silver. Considering that I live in an area where salt covers our roads in the winter I was amazed at how good this Maxima looked. I went closer and looked inside. It had 64,000 km (40,000 miles) on the clock ! I could not believe my eyes. It was almost brand new ! I am pretty sure it was an old person driving it because of the condition it was in. If I see it again, I will write a note with my phone number and tell the person to contact me when they sell it.

Just thought I'd share !

Niiice...

When I worked for a Nissan dealer I saw one come through with about the same milage. Seeing the interior in that condition was the most impressive part, spotless.

Mines about to turn over a quarter-million miles =)

if you want a 40K engine, come to LA....there are a lot of importers here selling them, esp. VE model for around $650.

My car is exactly the same way. My grandpa drove his Outback or a old beat-up Pontiac most of the time so the Maxima accumulated about 28k until I bought it in spring '05. Those were mostly highway miles and none in snow. Now I have about 37k on it, so it's almost mint. No rust, a few dings, and everything works perfectly. I took it in for an oil change a few months ago and the guy couldn't believe it was a '91 AND a Wisconsin car. I got REEEEEALY lucky that my grandpa went for a G35 when he did.
