Well, it was nice having the 93 GXE, She did take good care of me, however I did trade her in this evening at a Ford Dealership, for a New 2007 F-150 Super Crew, color, Dark Blue Pearl Metallic. They actually gave me $2500.00 for her, she was in great condition. My needs have changed, & I now, need a vehicle that can tow a Harley, & a John Deere. I want to thank everybody here, who has given advice to me, & even the people, who just
had other adgendas, altogether though, I thank everyone here.......keep taking care of the 3rd Gens, we are a special & rare breed.......I wish everbody truly the best!!!

I went whole hog two years ago... Had '93 GXE. Bought one weekend Suburban '02 and '94 SE. The '02 and '94 have seq plates!

That way wife had "new" car she could drive, same setup as '93. And we had enought space that the kids stopped touching each other on long trips and short trips. Never have 5 in Maxima again!

Sorry to see you go. Now where is that dealer?

So what if he is? What duty does he have to you to be honest about his other vehicles? That's on him and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm sick of reading this BS name-calling over and over ad infinitum.

Anyway, rimaximaman, best of luck to you with the new truck. My uncle has one and he loves it.

A word of advice: don't jump into something unless you have the history on it...

Best wishes to RIMAXIMAMAN and whatever he is driving...don't let the digital door hit you on the way out...

You my not friend are a special and rare breed. During the short time I have been here I have been amused by the "entertainment" value of your posts. I cannot believe the audacity you have to flat out ignore or lie your way through post after post, while at the same time you seem to add a little more to it with each post on the edge of bragging about yourself, whether it be this so-called CTV-S that you are unable to load pictures of, your above-average snow driving skills, and now this make believe Harley, tractor, & new Ford F150 combo. It just keeps getting better but I guess you have run out of things to make up. And some parting words for you to remember: Just because you may be able to fool some of the people doesn't mean you are not a liar.

+1

We traded in my moms 1998 Ford Explorer at the Toyota Dealership for a Lexus RX300 and only got $3000 for it (granted it did have 155,000miles). The thing was in tip-top condition though, so I would expect on the tradin for the Max, no more than $1500.

Not that I really believe he even traded in anything but the dealer can give whatever on the front end. They just add an extra $1,000 to the back end.

I knew I'd need to put the flamesuit on. First time for everything I guess. I also read about his "CTS-V," the lack of proof/pics, and his arguments with mygreenmax and others. I was just making the point that we should all let it go. Nothing more. I wasn't sticking up for him AT ALL. I guess I should have said "forgive or at least forget" instead of what I did. Sorry if I offended anybody on here, that was my bad and I apologize for it.

Meh no need to apoligize, for some reason I'm on your side. It has gone too far with the CTS-V and it was just your opinion.

why do people get happy when dealers seem to give them more on a trade in,when the fact is ,you could get the car for the price without the trade in.
I've seen so many people get sucked into this crap....I see only one reason
to trade. If it's your only means for a down payment, but really it's just giving
them the car for them to write the loan anyway....IMO

You mean that they just tack the vaule of the trade onto the price they would have sold you the new car for? I've heard of such things, but never been in that situation. My Max is my first car, and if I can swap a 5-speed into it, then I think it'll be my car for years to come (meaning I won't need to worry about dealerships and stuff).. at least through college, until which time I get a good job and nab myself a G35 6MT. Maybe then I'll put in a rollcage and stuff and race the Max.

Yea, that's why you should really try and not mention a trade in until after you've decided upon a price for the car your buying, or better yet just sell the thing yourself
