electrical headache 93 gxe
#2
I have a 90 GXE that does the same thing plus my digital dash does not always work, I just think that these cars came from the factory with some bizarre electrical gremlins in them. when I get motivated I plan to pull out my dash and bench check the power supply and clean my door lock switches. I might mess with my climate control lights but it is not to important to me since it is either 65, 85, or off.

the door lock problem is due to your door lock timer.
it's under the dash, just to the right of your steering column. pull the large bottom cover off the dash, and you'll see a small brown box (about 3x4 inches) there's a label that says "door lock timer" on it, but I dunno if you can see it from the position you're in.
remove that guy.. now take the case off and resolder all the connections inside, except the small daughter board. put it back together and see if that fixed the problem. if not, then call up your local nissan dealer and order a new one. they're about $60-80, depending on the dealer.
I highly suggest trying to fix it.. worked great for me.
