Bumper Paint Job Pics
I got so sick of looking at the yellow bumper, that I went to Home Depot and got a can of gray Rustoleum. Its a bad paint job but definitely an improvement from what i had before. And yes I know that the shade of the paint is lighter.

can we see some closer detail of the formerly-unpainted areas? I'm thinking of buying a wrong-color spoiler from another member and painting it (especially tricky since his is dark and mine car is a light color) but I wanted to see how it came out upon closer inspection.

That's not too shabby, considering it's a rattlecan job PLUS you didn't have a lot to time to "refine" the process. I mean, at least you masked off the areas you wanted to avoid overspraying. Trust me, I've seen some ghetto-@$$ paint jobs done waaaaay worse!!
Looks like a good match, but I think you should have bought a tube of bondo putty and smeared it over any yellow spots to make it as flush as possible with the remaining paint. After it dries, sand again, repeat if necessary until you have a smooth, flush surface to paint on. Then clean, prime, paint and clearcoat. I wish i had some post prep pre paint pics of my front bumper I rattlecanned, there were quite a few yellow spots I had to fill, but I did take finished pics: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=495158
But again, it looks like you found a good match. What paint did you use? You could always just try again to get the surface as smooth as possible before you respray it. Course if you're happy with it, go with it.

As soon as it gets warm I'm having a friend with experience in bodywork and paint respray both of my bumpers. It sucks that the materials alone are gonna run me about $300. At least he will work for beer...
