Foglight Question

Hey, my new VE has the foglight switch on the interior but no fogs up front, I searched for wires and found two down below but the positive one never got hot no matter what I did. I bought a pair of fogs (some cheap autozone one's to fill the space until I can afford some Hella's) but I can't for the life of me figure out where the wires are. Where do the wires from the harness in the dash lead to? Thanks...

The foglight harness plugs should be tucked up under the front clip, close to where the foglights mount up..

Look behind the plastic underbody cover under each fender, you should find them somewhere around there...

I'd start by looking for a bad fuse.
then for the relay underhood in the relay block.

you might not have a relay in there at all if there were never fogs

IIRC, all SEs have fogs from the factory. That's not to say someone couldn't have taken it apart somewhere.

My SE didn't come with fog lights but I did have the fog light switch and the wires for them. Check and make sure that the fog light relay is there because mine wasn't.

^^That was the first thing that popped in my mind when I read this. Also (and I'm sure you've probably done this already) make sure that the harness is plugged into the switch itself. That's just going to what Chris said about someone maybe taking it apart at some time - also to cover ALL your bases.

Then your car had them at one point in its life. Some one might have smashed one or both and took off the brackets. Then you'd be left just just a interior switch.

Look for wires that have a brown plastic harness at the end, they should be there. Also check the relay to see if its even there if it is move on to the switch, remove 4 phillips screws and make sure its connected. Try turning on fogs from switch (duh) and test the wire for power with a test light or multimeter
