Can somebody tell me what this is please?



I was attempting to clean my engine bay yesterday and noticed that this was disconnected. I went ahead and reconnected it

And while I'm noobing it, what is the bigger mechanism that is right above this connection. This is a VG btw.

No. It stopped working about 3 years ago. That crossed my mind because I saw that cable runs to the throttle. I didn't take it for a drive yesterday and I completely forgot to test it on my way to work today. I did press in the button on the dash yesterday after starting the car and putting it in D but the cc light still didn't come on.

Who in the hell would pull that out?! I can't see it coming out on its own.

I will definitely remember to test on the way home.

it's possible something wasn't working so they unplugged it so it won't try to activate something it's not supposed to.
