replacing stock foglight bulbs

Has anyone ever replaced the bulb in an OEM foglight? If so, what kind of bulb does it take? Can it be upgraded? One of my lamps is dimmer than the other. Bugs the hell outta me.

-Yes
-Unsure...just go to Pepboys or Autozone and give em your make/model.
-Yes
-Tell me about it

It is really easy....just go to whatever auto place, give them your make/model, they will give you a selection of which ones you can pick from, buy 2 brand new ones so you know what you have this time and they will match.

To install, just look at the bracket from the bottom, and there will be two bolts that hold the fog light in.

Yes the bulbs are H3 bulbs but there are 2 versions. One is 55w(the factory wattage) and 100w. I replaced mine before I installed my fog lights.

yes it is H3 and its 55 watts. Dont upgrade to a higher wattage without upgrading your wires or you will burn them up.

edit...should have refreshed before posting...marquisdee is correct.

ok, I thought you could change them. It's just that I work at an Autozone and I looked it up in our system and it said "not available." So yeah. I guess I'll be buying a pair tonight. Go go gadget 20% discount!

Pfff you Auto Zone employees get crappy discount, well not % wise but more like only certain things can have the discount applied. Cant even buy oil with discount FTL.

Anyway like everyone said, they're 55 watts H3, make sure to replace BOTH so they both light up evenly, if you're also lookin for that extra lil brightness check the harness for corrosion-clean contacts up a bit and put some di-electric grease to keep moisture out since those are near the ground. Also careful not to snap a bolt as those tend to be frozen in there.
