Well
Stylewise, it wasn't much, but underneath is where that car shined. That car you see is the PGC-10 GT-R (Way before R-32 thru R-35 designations) It actually came out in 1967.
It had some pretty amazing stuff for the day. The S20 engine (24 Valve DOHC Inline 6) had a factory header. One of the most trick features about this car has to be the exhaust system. From the back, you see a twin-tipped muffler which is no big deal, but the big deal was that it had two pipes all the way from muffler back up to the header (a stealth dual exhaust, if there ever was one). The intake side of this engine was just as impressive. It featured THREE solex 2-barrel side draft carburetors and to make sure the fun lasts, this car came with a 100 Liter gas tank (26 gallons!). The car also featured a real 5-speed transmission and disc brakes up front. It topped out around 130 MPH.
If you want to buy the real thing (in pristine condition), these cars run $40,000 and up in Japan.
