BTW to add to this thread. I did some searching and I read where some said that their PPG rep told them shopline will be the product taking the place of the OMNI line (I haven't even heard of shopline before...my ppg guy hasn't mentioned it) and that they are discontinuing OMNI. Basically his rep told him they just changed the name and its essentially the same thing.

Then others were saying that their PPG rep told them it is a whole different line.

I have no idea but I wouldn't say its any better than OMNI (still a PPG value line) until I hear more about it or see it in action. There were reports that you could get a gallon of the shopline clear plus the hardener for $75. I find that hard to believe though.

from talking to my painter friends (that use PPG) most agree that DCU2021 is the best "air dry" clear there is.

it's like how dbc is supposed to be better than dbu and replaced dbu in most shops, and now theyre turning everyone onto global as being the best thing. its all a marketing scheme to sell more crap.
i forgot to add dupont to my list, no pros or cons to that either. smells "nicer", although i like the way spies smells best of all, kinda sad that i've rated the smells of toxic fumes..........................
