fuel leaking

please I have a problem. This problem happens ONLY when engine is cold (in the morning). When I start a engine there is a little fuel leaking. It's about 3-4 min and then stop (mabye when engine become hot). Leaking point is shown on picture.
Questions:
1 - what is function of fuel tube
2 - what pressure is there ( high or small )
3 - why leaking when engine is cold, but not when engine is hot

I tried to fix it but it is unpossibile besause I can't touch it with fingers (there is no place ) and suppose I must remove upper intake manifold collector, gaskets... etc but I'm not good mechanical. Is anyone has a solution of problem and answers for questions?

I had the same problem you did. Mine would only leak when engine was cold. I replaced the hose and clamp then no more leaks.. Only thing I can think is the rubber expands as the engine heats up..

The crossover hoses on the fuel rails are very common to leak on these cars, the rubber dries out and shrinks over time...In some cases it's not the hose leaking[from a hole] but the hose clamps have loosned up from the hoses shrinking, this was the case with several of my fuel rail hos clamps...I just tightened the hoses back down...No more leak...

If you do it your self its $20 in parts . If you take it to a shop its about $400 to fix it. Search on the site, and buy a haynes manual. Its easy and 1 day's work if you havent done stuff like this before. You must have some basic knowledge of torques and part management to do this (or a friend who does). All you have to do is pull off some hoses and remove afew bolts to get to the fuel rail. And be able to put it back together. but you need to do it as its a safety risk. Can set your car on fire and I dont think your insurance would cover it.

Plastic and rubber shrink in the cold and get harder and expand and soften when heated. Therefore on cold mornings the old, brittle fuel hose shrinks and loosens its hold on the metal fuel rail. This fuel is under 45-60 psi pressure so it can easily leak out. Also I've found that the hose may not exhibit cracks in the side, but have them in the end edge of the tube that leaks and aren't easily visible. Make sure you get 30R9 high pressure hose.

Mines leaking again and I replaced it a year ago. well maybe, I did alot of fuel rail/injector swapping that week. Im getting tired of pulling this manifold....

For now I just tightened it. Use a flat head, pliers, or w/e you can and turn the clamp so you can tighten it from the top. Just use a flat head or another long screw driver to hold the clamp while you tighten it. Im going to use a smaller clamp next time Im in there as well...

5/16" fuel injector hose from autozone fits just right. $2
