Limited Slip Differential? How to tell?
Sorry if this is a repost, but is there a character in the VIN or something on the kick panel information tag that verifies if your car has a Limited Slip Differential? I'm assuming so, but not positive and I'm buying new CV Joints and didn't want to make that mistake.

yeah you should have VLSD stock...
like Ken said, if your tranny ends in a V, then you have limited slip; if not, you dont

If you're unsure, jack the front end up. With the car in neutral, turn one of the front wheels by hand. If the opposite wheel rotates in the same direction, you have limited slip. If the opposite wheel turns in the opposite direction (one rotates clockwise, the other counterclockwise) you have a standard differential.

Hey, Thanks Guys... Yeah, It has the V in the code. I remember reading something about it, but for some reason I thought it was on the actual VIN itself. But anyway, CV joints tend to be a pretty straight forward install yes?....
I'm hoping... (I know about the Stickies so I'll figure out how to do it there)

But just to add a little humor to this post, anyone that's seen "My Cousin Vinny", and listened to the girl on the stand give her testimony about why the nephew didn't commit the crime will know all they need to know about limited slip.
