Wow. Thanks for such a great response. I'm pretty sure even I can do that... I'll let you know on Monday what I find out.

As long as that filter is for a 3.0 liter'ish capacity and has the anti-backflow(is is backflow? lol) Should be good.
There's not a lot written on the Toyota D3 oil filter, but a few at least on the org use them, including me just recently, and they are awesome! I was using the other recommended toyota oil filter (can't remember the number right off) and it did decrease and quiet down the VTC clack, but it was still there a lot. The D3 filter, though, has completely eliminated it! I also use full synthetic oil, btw.

I did the test Friday afternoon and it's my injector. It's at the shop right now (injectors is not something I'm ready to mess with) and he checked the compression on all cylinders, too, and they were all good.

I'm getting really excited to see how this car runs with all cylinders firing. Even not running full strength it felt stronger than my old VG (of course, that had 231K on it).

Thanks again for the tips and I'll let you know how it rides once fixed.

The car looks good, but the engine needs 91 octane to run properly. You wrote that you put in 87 octane.
