you mean vg30de? won't fit. There are no direct swaps for any 3rd gen Maxima.

VG30E is the engine you have. If you want to go faster, try nitrous, turbo or sell the car and buy something with more power. I would suggest a Mustang GT and start modding it.

I can't wait till someone throws a vq3.5 in our cars

Possibly going for a vg34e one day.

I've seen another post like this... Is it true that the VQ is basically the same size of the Vg? All people was doing was boring it out then throwing infin Q45 pistons in and that's it?

same size? not exactly but it's smaller than the VG30DE.

boring out and throwing Q45 pistons in what? VG? VQ?

technically you can put a vg30et, DIRECTLY in ... but you have to reroute a little section of the exhaust.
220 hp ... would be fun

relocation of the front mount or turbo is needed.

Sure would be nice. and someone will end up doing it sometime later.

What would be better:

S1 under the hood.
VQ30DETT in there.

Oh I was going for a quick retort lol.

Keep in mind with the VG30ET swap its best to use your engine with the 9:1 compression to retain good MPG and off boost power. Just run a small IC and it'll be fine.

Keep in mind boring your block out to 91.5MM will work great and give you 3.3L, use oem VG33 pistons and you have a big HP/TQ upgrade.

If I was looking to swap an engine I would want it to make some power for all that work. As close to 300hp as possible would be nice. I would turbo the VG engine if only there was a reliable transmission in my car, I have the auto. Would a 5spd swap hold up to that much power?

Just do VQ35+6 speed, and run the 4th gen ECU.

And yes at low power a 5 speed can hold up to a turbo.

Don't have a garage or even a driveway. Can't do all that. Whats "low power"? I don't mean swapping it to a stock VG engine, I mean a VG with a turbo at 300hp. Would it even bolt up?

Low power is 300 or under. (IMO) I know what you ment. If your asking if a 5 speed would bolt up, search and read the stickies....

Cool. I'm trying to read them but I don't have much time at the moment so I just figured I'd ask. I kinda like the car more than I should so I'm getting stupid ideas like that. Thanks for the help.
