Well you make no mention of what kit but if you have rings, then you have my kit. I'm surprised whomever you bought them from didn't know?

You have pics? I'd like to see what you got.

But you use either the 30mm 300zx aluminum or steel calipers (4 piston) or the J30 or Q45 2 piston calipers.

Write ups are in the section green mentioned. I'd read it as you need more parts to complete the kit.

Speaking of the BBK....mine's almost done. The only problem is that it seems like the pistons dont bite a lot of the cobra rotor. There's a lot of meat left over and I think it'll look wierd. Also, those rings don't slide right into the center of the rotor. Do you think my rotors are just jacked up? I'd love to get a link to pics of other BBKs on the 3rd gen.

EDIT....got pics

Ever look to see how much your stock pads really bite? It looks that way because the cobra rotors are new and not rusted where the pad doesn't touch. Yes the Z pads to sweep quite as much as the cobra calipers do but trust me, it's MORE than enough.

You might have to massage the inner ring dimension just a tad. If you have an old set of rings, some guys had to grind down some of the ring just a smiggen.

Unless the fit is outrageously bad. Then it could be a funky set of rotors. But I haven't seen it yet

I'd say it's off by 1-2 millimeters. One edge will slide in, but the other edge will be sticking up a little.

IMHO that's not 1-2 mm. It's supposed to be a tight fit. I designed that way so to make sure they center. But I can't account for any rotor tolerances. So sometimes a bit is massaging is needed.
