I see what you mean about the "crimping". I'll tell you what though, that's the least of your worries regarding the bumper cover. I would not accept them reusing the original one. There are definitely microscopic stress fractures and eventually your paint is going to crack in the same pattern as the fractures, causing a spiderweb type appearance. Your bumper was obviously damaged by the pictures you posted. Paint doesn't just fly off the bumper without any impact. Take it back and demand a new bumper cover. Mention the stress fractures and tell them it's not something you want to worry about in the future. I believe there are techniques they can use to avoid eventual "webbing", but that's beside the point.. Looks pretty good though ATM.

An unpainted bumper cover is fairly cheap on eBay, too bad they didnt get one and then paint it.

haha My thoughts exactly, a bumper is like a motorcycle helmet, its really only made to be impacted once. Just because it "looks" ok doesnt mean it is. And the paint already is chipping alittle in that crimped spot.
The body shops done, they pissed me off.
Cause i told them 2 bottom lines.. 1: New bumper 2: I wont take a total.. I will argue myself if they try, i told them.
They told me they would go after a new bumper, i called and asked and they lead me to believe everything was ok. But they just blew MY buffer zone of leftover money on painted a sloppy bumper, and minor framework (the core support) I cant wait to see what they charged to bang on the core support with a hammer.

yea i know like i just said, they wasted paint on the bumper that was hit.
Hell I would have chipped in alil bit of money if i had too. They found a hood for under $200! They couldve found me a bumper.
They got lazy, and wanted MORE profit, im not a fool.

get an OE bumper cover, the aftermarket ones are typically warped and just don't fit right.

they dont even look right to me for some reason..
the black plastic on the very bottom, looks to be a more solid piece.. idk how to explain it..
but thanks for the tip. OE is probably more expensive, but worth it.
good luck to me trying to tell the insurance guy that though..
