? on tints
im wondering if there is any possible way to somehow get my tints off? the owner before me put on pretty dark tints and im not too fond of them. i heard i could scrape them off, but for the back windshield i would scrape off the orange lines which produce heat to warm up the rear window as well...is there maybe a solution or stripper i could use so i could take the itnts off the rear window and all others except windshield?thanks
I just took off my tint last weekend. We used a heat gun and it peeled right off. You can also use a hairdryer. Its best if you have 2 people, one inside pulling the tint off and the other person workin the heat source. This will get off most of the glue and stuff, but I found that if you used 409 Glass cleaner and some elbow grease the glue would come off of the rear. I was using that Go-off or somehting like lacquer thinner for the side windows, but didnt want to use it on the back one. It took me a while to get done, but it is worth your while to take it slow and dont mess up the defroster.
thanks....
i will have to try that...i have to get a heat gun anyways to remove the side moldings off the side of my car...i think there nice but kind of tacky, so i will give it a try with my tints, jsut to ask, they came off pretty easily? liek jut hold the heat gun up to the inside of window, heat the tint and window up and just peel away the tint? thanks

Re: thanks....
Hold the heat gun on the outside of the window cuz it gets real hot real quick and you will melt the tint. One person with the heat gun on the outside, and one pealing off the tint on the inside.
AdamK - Thanks for correcting me, I couldnt quite remember what it was called.
