Has anybody ever swapped the GXE dash with the SE dash on a '93? I think the SE dashed is far more cool. Is it even possible?
Does anybody know if it is at all possible to trick out the rear windows to go down all the way? Is it in the switch, or just a stop inside the door? Please help!! (it looks like a family cruiser when the windows only go down 2/3 of the way)

What's the differences in the dash, other than color?

the gauges are different, but that's it as far as I know.

the rear windows can NOT roll all the way down.. the bottom rear corner of the glass stop just before it hits the wheel well. to make it go down any further, you would have to modify the entire frame of the car.

dash swap

I would not consider the dash swap. It is a big job to get into if you don't have access to a shop or people that know what they are doing. The only real difference is going to be the color of the gauges, which is something that you can change much easier than ripping out the entire dash. Just buy an issue of super street and you will be able to find plenty of companies that sell what guages, or covers to make your existing guages appear to be white.
Good luck in your endeavor. I can understand cause white guages are sweet.

Taking out dashes is a pain in the ***. I took every single piece out of my car when redoing the interior. I would have to say that the dashboard was the hardest. Its fairly simple to take out the gauges. The dash has nothing to do with replacing them. If you get the gauges out you can also go original and paint them to match the interior. This looks really nice, and adds a custom look that other Max's dont have.

92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed.
