I'm looking to make my own BBK, and need some longer studs so the calipers fit my existing wheels. I mocked them up and need a stud at least about 2.25 inches overall length...or 55mm exactly. I know that ARP makes 3in studs that I can cut, but at $80 for 10 thats a bit pricey... Can anyone help me out?

If anyone knows an application that meets these specs, it would be ideal:

Thread Size: 12mm x 1.25 RH
Style: Press In
Knurl Diameter: .565in or 14.35mm
Underhead Length: 2.25in or 55mm
Knurl length: .270in or 13.5mm

If I get the ARP studs I'll have to trim them a little. I have open ended lugs for autocrossing, and if I had 3in studs they would stick out a mile and I don't think it would look very good. Also, the end that I cut might end up corroding. I just need studs that are the right length, don't stick out past my wheels, and don't need to be cut.

I'm starting to think the ARP's are my only option. I called Dorman to see if they could look up something, but they closed at 4:30 EST, so thats like 3:30 my time.....when I'm bust at work. Oh well, I'll try them again on Monday.

thanks! I heard today that a 350 extended stud will work in the car...is that right? Are all nissan studs the same specs...relatively? Besides length?

the NISMO studs have 13 and 14mm knurl, as can be seen on courtesy's site.
Nissan also changed the 3 gen wheel hubs *sometime* during the production date or reproduction date. 3 of my hubs use the 14mm, one uses 13mm. over the years I've owned the car, I've replaced both fronts and one of the rears- not sure which one though, so I wouldn't count on Nissan's parts book being correct on what it says they should be.

Soooo, what you need to do is pop out a stud from each and every hub and measure the knurl. it will be either 13 or 14mm so it's not too hard to figure out. (I can tell them by just looking once I have both in hand).

FYI, I purchased the 50mm NISMO studs for $55/10 at my local dealer, no shipping.. the 60mm ones are the same price.

I have a 14.35mm knurl...I'll need the 60mm studs becasue a 1/2in spacer on a 42mm stud means I need at least a 55mm stud. So I might have to trim the stud down a bit, but it'll work. I'll ask the dealer tomorrow.

Matt, just to be sure....the 4th gen SS lines for the front you sent me awhile back will still work for my 93 right? Also, is that part number for the bolts 40222-RS045? I just want to be sure. Thanks

I dunno the part number for the bolts. courtesy's site has them listed by size but their number is different than your dealer.

I wouldn't bother trimming the studs until you put one on the car and see if they fit all the way.
my Gorilla capped studs fit all the way down on my stock ones with no wheel on it (I can clamp down the brake rotor when I'm playing with brakes..)
I never checked if it went all the way down with the 50mm studs when I installed them on my car.
all I know is they fit just fine once I got the right damn studs..

Matt....I'm going a little OT, but what about those front SS brake lines you sent me awhile back? With the 4th gen lines work for my 93 to hook up to the Z32 calipers?

I think that the part number for nissan is 40222-RS045 and courtesyparts number is 40222-PK106. Can anyone verify this?

the lines will fit just fine. my lines are all the same from 89-07 for the fronts. at least for the Z32 conversion lines anyway.
