Condensor bolts

Alright guys...and gals (you know who you are), so its been a while since I've made a thread and I really need help with this obstacle. I've searched but seems like no one has had the same problem.

Well, my AC hasnt worked since I got my car, found out there was a hole on condenser AND high pressure hose. Ok, got both of them and yes I know you have to replace drier as well at the same time. So once I have the radiator off the car and I'm working on removing the condenser to drier line, the damn 12mm aluminum bolt breaks. same thing for the other 12mm bolt that holds the high pressure hose. In reality I dont care because I have new condenser, hose, and drier but I need the bolts.

Now can I just use any bolts with the same pitch and get it overwith or do they have to be aluminum like the original ones? I like to do things correctly and only once or twice but not 3 times.

I really need my AC working by Thursday as we're going on a long roadtrip. I must have everything pieced together ready for carX to to the leak test and charge it up for me.

Thanks

any old bolts should do.
I don't believe you'll need to worry much about galvanic reactions

your car will turn to dust, long before the bolts cause an issue. just use some anti-seize on them.

I know what bolts you are talking about, both of them broke off when i try to take them out, my old R12 system wasn't working and it would take too much to fix, so i removed the whole AC system to save some weight and better cooling to the radiator.

Yea those fockers seem like they enjoy breaking. When I attempted to remove the condensor off the g.f's max after the accident, they broke. They just broke on mine a few days ago and last night when I stopped by Maxpowr's house to get spare bolts he had, they broke in his spare condensor as well. Oh well I purchased some strong looking black ones and have my ac system all put together with new o-rings, new condensor, new high pressure hose, and new drier...will do the system evac to get tomorrow morning to get moisture and air out and then fill'er up with 33oz of r134 and 5-6 oz of oil
