I have decided to wrap my 18's in Kumho 712's, now I have one more question...will 245/40's fit on my 18x8 wheels ??? Will they fit nicely I mean...It's either 235's or 245's....Thanks !!!

It might but it's hard to say for 100%. I would just forgo the headaches of wondering of they will rub or not and just get the 235s. I run 235-45-17 on my 8" rims and it's plenty of tire(if not too much tire). Be carefull of curbs though.

I wouldn't risk it..

An 8" wide rim is supposed to have a 235 tire normally... 245 would bulge more, I don't really see any big advantages of that except some more tire to protect the rim from possible curb scratches when parking or something. The extra width doesn't matter that much since 235 is allready a LOT of tire like Jeff said.. I have a 7" wide rim which is normally supposed to have a 215 tire, but i went with 225, it buldges quite a bit on the side, I still managed to get some scuffs on the rim, even driving very hard, never did I hear my tires squeal on hard turns, so trust me, 235 is good enough. 245 is normally for a 8.5" wide rim.
