Sure you can. It not a "true" short shift though.

it's been done before. be sure to buy several hacksaw blades, because it's strong steel and you're going to be cutting for quite a while.
I also suggest only cutting off about 3/4" at a time, jsut so you don't cut it too short the first time and decide you hate it.

Most aftermarket shift ***** don't screw on.......many use hidden screws so you dont have to worry about threads

hehe I remember posting this before I decided on spending $60 on a pacesetter Short Shifter which I am happy with the exception of it being a little notchy and tougher to shift. I also have bought a aftermarket **** but it was always loose so I brought that back and bought the 20th anniv. max **** and it screwed on the pacesetter just right with no looseness

Get the Pacesetter or SMC STS, the Stillen STS is not adjustable.

?????? I still can't get my stock one off I have tried everything and I am not exactly a small guy or anything.....it must be welded on But the way I see it a shift **** is a shift **** just because it says momo doesn't mean you'll shift quiker/smoother. So just go with what looks good to you

I assume it is left=loose right? For some reason no matter what I try I can not get it off. I even mangled it with vice grips. Next time I feel in the mood I will just go at it with a strap wrench. Any suggestions?

It's not a matter of screwing it off, at least it wasn't with mine. I just had to pull really, really, freakin hard. I got a MOMO carbon fiber adjustable ****. Looks good, but costs $80...

Most aftermarket ***** clamp on. I bought my **** for about $52 and change shipped. I will take pics if any whats to see it. I also clear coated so it won't look bad after awhile. I wish nissan had it so the #s glow.

Thanks for the info...

I actually saw a deal somewhere for a manual shift **** that had the numbers light up. They had it in red, white, blue and green (I think). I'll see if I can find the pics and the info as to where to order them. They had them on back-order, and would e-mail everyone that ordered them when they'd come in.
