It looks like the 20% off deal is over, but if I order separately I can get a set of Tokicos for $279 shipped? Can I do better?

Its not easy but if you have the time and tools it will be easy to figure out what to do. Also get ready for some hard a$$ screws and bolts to get off. Get a Repair manual if u dont have one, it helped me move along when I got stumped

My Tokico's are here and my Eibachs should be here next week, so I'll be swapping mine out soon. I'll let you know how it goes.
In the mean time, guess I better find a good-size breaker bar

For all who have done this, what tools do I need? And is there a procedure posted online somewhere?

By the way...how much were your Eibachs...I am considering a set too. But I might go with ST's.

I HIGHLY suggest you buy service manual before starting on this kind of stuff. whether you buy the $70 Nissan factory service manual, or a $20 chiltons/haynes... all will have instructions and diagrams on how to do this job.

the front struts are EASY. takes about an hour if you know what you're doing. the rears are more difficult, as you have to completely dissassemble the rear struts.

Instructions with pics are available on the 3rd gen website. http://gen3.4mg.com/library/suspension.html

Finished!

I finished installing the Tokicos and Eibachs on my 93 GXE (and the improvements in appearance and handling are terrific), and as I have heard, the fronts were fairly easy but the rears were more difficult. Some things I wasn't prepared for:
- front dust boots were torn (as I mentioned in another thread). I got some new ones today and replaced them but I had to take everything apart again
- since I am not fortunate enough to have disc brakes in the rear (yet ) I had to completely disassemble the rear brake assemblies. I messed up one of the return springs, but luckily an "all in one" kit was available for $5 at a local auto parts place that included replacement parts for all of the little springs for both sides
- the back seat was difficult to get out. The "just lift" instructions I have heard turned into push, pull, pry, cuss, etc

Overall, it wasn't bad, especially considering I saved myself about $250-$300 it would have cost to have a shop do it. Also, I have a Haynes and a Chilton manual, but the Chilton manual was only one that was really helpful. It has some great diagrams that show how everything goes together and what each nut/bolt should be torqued to.

By the way, the pic below of my Max is a "before" picture. I will get a new pic soon (probably after my clear corners arrive that I won on ebay tonight )
