paint

im about to paint the trim on the outside of the car. does anybody have any tips are the steps i should take? thanks

Prep it well if you're going to do it. I don't think paint adheres very well, at least to the window sill moulding. I've seen a max with them painted and it was chipping very badly. The other stuff is aluminum and is painted from the factory in the first place, shouldn't be as problematic.

best advise is to scuff down really good clean really good maybe some adhesion promoter will also help

going 2 paint around the doors window trim and front and back window also. thanks for the help

make sure you prime everything before painting...i work at a body shop and ppl have came in with bumpers that nvr got promed and the paint would just chip so easily...even if you ran compressed air on the pain, it would just literally fly off...

Take your time and properly mask off most of the car,places you don't want overspray. scuff the trim(5-700grit) then clean, spray adhesive primer promoter,I used duplicolor trim paint about 3 light coats then 2 coats of clear.

Again, take your time and you'll have good results.
