Oh, ok. I'm not sure how well that will work. There is a small plastic piece that breaks and causes the wire to become tangled on the drum, I don't know if you'll be able to fix it.

does anyone know how long the cable is?

I don't know how long the cable itself is, but I've fixed several (i.e. more than 4) myself.. I've never had to replace the cable- justfix the broken plastic pieces onthe regulator, then rewind the cable correctly. if there are bends or kinks in the cable, use a couple pair of needlenose pliers to bend it straight again. watch out for small frays though.. they won't really hurt the regulator, but they hurt like the ****ens when you stick yourself in the end of a finger with them!

i'm going to redo it tomorrow, its not hard now that its all taken apart, i might redo the cable because its pretty tough to work with and seems to want to jump off the tracks on the little pulley.
also, hey matt, i got the money for the temp control unit, whats the billing info again? i can send the money order tomorrow, i would've PMed you but the .org says your mailbox is full
let me know. thanks

You can get the part for $50 from courtsey Nissan. The install isn't that hard, if you can use a screw driver you can do it.
