Funky Seat Belt Warning Light

Take it to the dealer!!
if that occurs again you can get it fixed at your local Nissan Dealer...anything that goes wrong mechanically with the seat belts is covered under a Nissan Lifetime Warranty!! only catch is that I think they have to see it happen in order to fix it!

If you just want to get rid of the chime you can disconnect the little wire under the driver's seat. There might be one under the passenger seat too. It is a little clip and the chime will stop. Just for those who don't want to hear the chime anymore.

Funky Seatbelt Light
Ok I usually dont post much on here but I know how annoying this chime is. I have been dealing with this issue for over a year. Well yesterday I had taken my car to the dealer to get my Y-Pipe replaced and when I was there had told them about my issue and asked them to look at it. They found out what the issue was they said it was the seat belt rail assembly which is almost the whole seat belt assembly. They had to special order it and they said when they get it in they will let me know and yes it was under full warranty. They also tried telling me when i asked them to look at it that noone had ever brought a complaint about this issue through the dealership. I then mentioned to the service guy that i can tell him where to look online that people were complaining about it and he asked me if it was maxima.org so he knew of the board i asked him to look in 3rdgens and he would see it. In regards to someone's post stating to just unplug the harness underneath the seats I am sorry to say that it doesnt work due to the fact that one weekend I had taken out my interior to clean the car and install neons when I put the car back together I forgot to reconnect the harness and I was still getting the seat belt light and chime. Just figured I would help everyone out since I have gotten a lot of help from the Board in the past.
