Does anyone know a price range to swap the automatic tranny to a five speed? I have had only problems out of the automatic. It has been rebuild 5 times... I could have gotten my parents to buy me a new car almost for what we have put into the transmission of this car. I really dont wanna get rid of my Max bc it is my baby but if I cant figure something out soon Im gonna have to sell it.

I know of two Maxs that were succesful with this process.....from what I've heard the costs range from $2000 and up, do a search there are numerous posts from the two guys on here that have done the swap. one of them is Chris92Gxe, but he's not on here much.

 

hlh0501 just did it to his 4th gen, i don't see him on here much anymore either though.
