the 1uz is a 4L v8. The supra comes with a 3L I-6. The maxima has a 3L V-6.

Short answer is it wont fit. Long answer is with a torch any thing will fit. You need to do more research if you think a I-6 will work in a FWD setup..

Why would you want a supra engine anyways? To many issues maxima engine is very reliable and can take day to day beatings and still runs perfect

You would be better off with a VQ35 swap.

1. Toyota motors suck. Even the glorified 2jz with possible monster power only comes with monster boost.
2. No room in the engine bay... It' s straight six.
3.How the Fudooodle do you plan on putting a transmission on there.
4. This sorta goes with 3, but did you know that our cars are FWD and that motor was only made for RWD?

5. IBTL!!!!

Not to mention that a maxima with a supra engine isn't going to drive anything like a Supra. I have to disagree on the Toyota motors sucking espcially since I own a 4runner also. They seem to be just as reliable as Nissan. with good care and maint. they can go 300K I am a fan of the older Nissans but do have my doubts in the new ones. We seem to get an awful lot of new Altimas in the shop.

Toyota motors do not suck, we have an 84 supra that comes into the shop every 3k miles for an oil change last time he was in it was over 320k. Still runs like a top.

Your probably right... I've only had the opportunity to work on abused Toyota's.

Although the maff system they have is a serous PITA. Along with the ridiculous wiring.

How is this not locked yet? This is blasphemy!
