that sounds right maybe 5-10 to much but ya gotta remember that the mirrors are electronic, and has defroster mechanism thats why price is high,i think new is well over 100

That's the average price for a heated, power mirror. I've talked to many guys atjunkyards about 'em, and they all give me prices close to that.

Well, the engine's got some cobwebs to clean up and some dust to burn out, but I live it better than the VG...
the VG was much more consistent in the power- it was ALWAYS there when I stomped the gas.. the VE isn't. when the engine's cold, the car just FLIES compared to my VG.. but once it's hot, it's actually noticeably slower. unless I'm in 2nd gear, the VE doesn't accelerate nearly as fast as my VG from 40-95. floor it at just about any speed in any gear, and it takes 2-3 sec to go up 5mph. my VG would do that even at 105mph.

then again, I had a damn strong VG. this VE is worn out. VTC tick and 150k miles.. I'm installing a CAI either this weekend or next, and will do some other stuff to the engine while I'm under the hood.. I'm sure it'll pick up some juice once I clean it out and open up for some more airflow..

Why do you want to paint them? unless they're damaged, I'd say just leave them the way they are.

but if you really want to paint them, I say only body colored, or black. any other color would just look stupid, IMO.
if they're the stock GXE ones that already have paint on them, sand them with some 600 grit and spray them with a good quality gloss black paint.. do a few layers of the black, then go over with some clear.
try to find a urethane paint that won't chip.. the mirrors are stuck way out there- right in the way of bugs and rocks kicked up from other cars. if you use regular krylon or any brittle lacquer or acrylic enamel (like krylon), that stuff will chip off in a matter of days and look like absolute dogshi*.

the reason that i want to paint them (or get new ones) is because the paint on them is starting to chip off. thanks for the advice, i think i will just paint them black. then, my car will look perfect, except for a few minor scratches.
