Finally Its in!!
Ok so I bought a 93 honda accord CAI for my GXE about a month and a half ago. I didnt have time and didnt have the 90 degree bend to go into the fender. But lastnight my dad and I started to take the stock air box off and what a big mess nissan made with that sooooo restictive. Got up this morning and finished it and it sounds and looks good. Here are some pictures of it. I also installed some foglights too with the existing harness that was in the car.
I wanna say thanks to the guys that helped me find the parts that I needed.

Yea it is a very tight fit my dad was thinkin that it wasnt gonna fit. HAHA the fuse box in under the MAF sensor behind the battery. That didnt fit in the stock place. All I trimmed was the metal under the headlight bracket.

Nice intake I want to ask is there a setup like this for my DOHC VE engine. I dont have all that room right....what's the easiest and most recommended. Just a filter to the MAF with an adapter. I wanted all that piping so that it can be really a COLD air not hot air. Also I am having trouble finding stock fog light covers mine are really big flat square for a 94 SE.
thanks
thanks

It's actually 2.75" round. But if you wanted to make a CAI for the VE. That same kit actually works. I just cut a little 90 degree bend off of the S-pipe and used that to go into the fender. Hah...

Ok, I'm going to accord CAI route, I'm fed up with waiting for direct fit! I'll just get the 90 degree elbow and call it a day. nice job dude, time to polist the engine a bit so it goes with the CAI

how would you clean the engine now? I wanna clean the red valve covers without takein everything apart

The best protection to keep the engine bay clean(after initial cleaning) is the plastic side/underbody guards..
I noticed a huge improvment after i installed new(j-yard) side guards on my car,the engine bay doesn't get half as dirty now as before.

You can use degreaser, wipes, and cloths on screwdrivers. But you'll never really get it as good looking as you want when you start. Because wherever your screwdriver doesn't reach, you'll have gunk! You might as well wait until you need under the valve cover for another reason and knock it out then if you really want it clean.
On the VG I used plastic bags to cover everything electrical, got simple green and literally doused the engine bay in it. Scrubbed with brushes, cloths, sponges, etc. at every portion of the engine I could get to, then pressure washed it (carefully) to get everything off. All plastic pieces and Intake pipes I would take off and clean individually getting all sides. Then using more simple green (either wipes or spray, sprayed on to a cloth) and hit the rubber tubes and everything like that.
Don't forget to dry

How about, degreasing, pressure washing, armorall-ing and put on some plastic shields that BELONG under the car and then call it a day while holding a bottle of beer and admiring a sparklings VG/VE?
