Yeah, so I know there's stuff all throughout the forum about replacing the headlights with the BMW headlights. A few quick questions for myself/ others who have tried looking, so we can get all the info into one nice abridged post...

The exact product (headlight assmebly) I'm looking for
(almost sure that it's the 93-98 3 series, but rather check again before I buy)

a link or something to the directions on how exactly to install these.

Thanx.

Yeah, so thank you AGAIN now for both of the links... they have both been quite informative. I've been working on my lights now for 2 nites after work, with several interruptions from friends of mine, which let me assure you has really helped. (Things such as building a computer, you know, minor things like that) So I've got one of them in. And I'm loving it. The brights from the 9005's look completely and obnoxiously blue, which is just wonderful. But on installing the hardware itself, how much do people's middle and side of the front of the headlight stick in and out. Ok, now that I think about it, that probably couldn't have been more confusingly written if I tried.

What I mean to say is, when you put in the lights, they are not as curved as the OEMs. So the far right and left of the assmebly stick out a little, and the center sits inside the rubber seal a little. Or has anyone a way to make this not happen? And the BMW assemblies are also a little shorter. If no one has figured a way to fix this, no big deal at all, I can live. I am just somewhat of a perfectionist. And also, are the outser edges of the headlights even with the inner edges of the cornering lights?

Yeah, and is there any way to get both sets of lights on at one time, instead of having the lows turn off when you turn the brights off? I've got a friend whose dad is pure Italian handyman, so if no one has figured this out, he will; but if someone has, all the better.

Oh, and one more thing. A friend of mine has a 2000 G20t, and we're going to be buying some BMW sideskirts for his car, which need to have 2 inches cut off, and then they fit perfect, and look awesome. (I forget from which BMW car). My question here is, does BMW actually make anything for their cars? Or is there some secret BMW-Nissan tag-team-thing that we're all missing out on? Just curious.

I'm thinking about doing this mod. Is anybody in the Washington, DC area willing to help me when I get ready to do it?

Yeah, well as you can tell from my profile, I was able to get the lights in. And of course as most of you already know, they look quite nice.. thanx a lot. The only thing that I still have to tweak is the fact that they are aimed kinda down to the ground, and the fact that my corners don't fit in quite perfectly, probably because of the slight size and shape difference from the OEM lights. But hey, I'm all up for tweaking. Thanks again guys. (Or girls, if they helped too!)

excuse my seemingly idiotic question, but...

let me first start by saying that i am totally unfamiliar with the maximas headlight assembly design. ok, now i know there are a couple or more of the e36 install instructions, but can someone also post how to take off the dang assembly!!! one of the instructions say to take out two screws per side. is that talking about the adjuster screws??? other than these, i can't locate 2 screws that hold the light into the bracket!!! HELP!!!

There are about 3 or 4 "hidden" bolts. You kinda have to fish around to get to them. I think I even used a 6" extension to get to one of them. Just get a light in there and look...

THANKS FOR RESPONDING. MY LAST QUESTION, THEN, IS ARE THOSE "HIDDEN" 3-4 SCREWS THE ONES THAT HOLD THE 2 ADJUSTING PINS IN PLACE? OR ARE THEY ON A SEPARATE LOCATION, AWAY FROM THE ADJUSTMENT SCREWS?

No, they are at a separate location. Sorry I can't be any more specific. I had trouble finding them too.
