I've been looking for another SE 3g I saw a 94 on craigs list with 160k on it. The guy said the car smokes alot. Could the engine be blown or is it burning oil? If it is burning oil should I just consider the car needs a motor and give him $250 for the car?

 

The VG's are a solid engine. Replace the Head gasket. Ask what color the smoke it and 250 isn't bad. Hel I would buy it cuz I am really missing my 3rd gen

 

for $250...if you find out later that it isn't fixable, just part it out like i did(bought for $250) and i'll buy some engine parts

 

Can't go wrong for $250

 

I've payed that par parts cars with blown motors.
