The leather on both is wearing VERY badly, the wheel leaves black gunk on my hands and it looks like the leather is gone. The shift **** is going the same route. Now for the problems. First, I have an Air Bag so I pretty much can not change out my steering wheel (I really don't want to either, i love air bags). Are there any steering wheel covers that don't look like covers on the market? Make sense? Second. The **** will not come off. Turn counter clockwise is what I have always heard and that sucker isn't moving an inch. I had two guys on it and also a strap wrench. Is there something I should know so that I can get that **** off!
Thanks
Jay

Well, the whole thing with the wheel, I have the same problem. Yes, it's annoying in humid weather, cause that black crap come off a lot all over your hands. Do what I do and take advantage of that. I just try to rub as much off as possible. Now it looks mostly like it's a shiny finish, except on the back of the wheel, but who sees that anyway? I generally try to keep away from the wheel covers...

And about the shifter... it can be done. It took me a couple minutes, but it'll go.
