Piston Swap ??????'s

Hi guys I know im a newbie and all but I have pulled out the engine of my 90 GXE and im gonna rebuild it. Will the pistons from the VE motor work in the VG ? If so then what modifications will be needed to do so because the VE piston has a compression ratio of 10:1 apposed to the stock VG piston 9:1 As you all know more compression per cylinder means more Horse power. I can get a set of new VE pistons for 110.00 plus freight charges. Any and all info on this topic will be greatly apreciated.
VG POWER hopefully!!!!!!

the stock vg motor is about tapped out when it comes to compression when you disassemble the engine look at the cylinder heads they are filled in somewhat and the factory pistons are flat with little grooves for the valves I asked a senior tech where I worked and He says putting a taller piston or shaving the head would cause piston valve interference which is very bad as we all know in here.
now what i would do is get a hold of jim wolf and hook yourself up with some nice billet camshafts!!. If you have a 5spd Eureaka you could go with the 266 duration cams pretty lumpy I'm converting my new auto to a 5 spd soon here down the road. but anyways now im off the subject.
Take it easy.
