tranny problem
I'm not usually on this forum but I do own a 1991 gxe 3rd gen and it isn't riding right. It is slipping everytime I have my overdrive on but when I have my overdrive off it slips less? any suggestions? I had the tranny fixed at 100k due to the same problem but the mechanic was not honest so I really don't know what he did. HELP! I don't want my car in storage I want to fix it up along with my fourth gen. NAy quick fixes?
Any more symptoms.....
I've been thorugh 3 rebuilds, but when mine started to slip I never got to examine how it acted with the OD off!? any other symptoms?

well, I also noticed that if I drive the car normal it will not rev up when od is on and if I drive it with a bit of pepper it will rev up to 5k rpms. can't think of anything else.

but what i do is just drive my car with OD off , like every where i go... so i only have 3 gears, 1st , 2nd, and 3rd. i dont use 4th because i cant use it... something is majorly wrong with the A/T on maximas when someone who doesnt know what they are doing repairs it, i think it has something to do with the electronic work more than the physical parts it self.. so i guess the only way to fix the problem is to like take it to someone who really knows what they are doing. but thats hard since we really cant tell if the person really knows their stuff or not...
