What is better for my Max? Turbo OR S/C?! There's probably lots of pros and cons for both, which is why I'm turning to fellow Max owners, all comments and opinions welcome.

In my oppinion I'm all for SC's. I hate turbo lag and with a SC the power is always low. If You have an auto like me your gonna need that low end acceleration that a TC cant provide.

92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed.

NOS is the way I go too. I'll have like a 150shot soon. But I'll let you know that this is gonna take a lotta engine and tranny work.

S/Cer boost is progressive also(IE builds upon RPM). A properly matched turbo and engine should also have little lag..

There still is lag no matter what though. I just dont want that. Its annoying if you drive any TCed car.

if you get a good turbine and set it up right you won't have lag. Fasttrax has a turbo that they ran on a z31 with 26psi and had virtually no lag at all.

Good luck with your turbo's. I'm going SC and NOS and I bet that will woop any turbo you can come up with. We'll just have to see.

No defense taken here. Good luck with your project. We both got a lot of plans. It will be interesting to see the outcome right bro.

SC

I heard super chargers get loud...even when u don't want them to be. I also heard they create too much wheel spin (and thus, no acceleration) when u stomp the gas.

Thats what slicks are for. All need to do is learn how to use that power.

Just dont slam it on the takeoff and you'll be fine. Its not like you always have to floor it when you start off. Common sense guys. Get to know your accelerator and you'll be a better driver, and faster.

You give the car as much gas as the wheels can grip. Why floor it if your gonna sit and spin. If you dont give it as much gas you will have better take offs. More traction the better. You dont have to drive like a grandma.
