I got a 91 Maxima GXE and the odometer and speedometer are not working. Its been like that for a while but I think its time to let it start rolling again. Does anyone know how to do a quick cheap fix? The speedo started out dropping and jumping around when moving then it just died.

for 50.00 you can have my se gauge cluster
white faces

plugs right in and has a brand new odometer had to order cause my odo quit working has 140 something k on it let me know if interested!

Well I'm not so interested in getting a new SE guage yet, but I was maybe thinkin you would know if the problem exists because of a known odometer/speedometer harness problem or the sensor.

Intermittent speedo faults and than it stopping altogether are usually (not always) due to dry / partial joints on the speedo assembly. If you know how to work a soldering iron and have about 2 - 3 hours free it is a simple job.
