My 94 Maxima start viberating as soon as I go above 65MPH. Someone told me it is me wheel bearing. Is that the case? How much will it cost to get fixed?

Tire Balance

Likely your tire balance. Get the fronts balanced. Take to any tire store.

my car shakes too at about that speed and above.

My tires are all balanced, rotated, ect...I don't think it's anything wrong with the car, just seems like the nature of it...but I could be wrong, anyone else have this problem?

couldnt it be something to do with the tires not being perfectly round? my car has been to the alignment shop and the tires have been balanced several times and it stills shakes at various speeds above 50. then my dads max(97SE) doesnt shake at all at any speed(kumho ecsta supra 712, stock rims where my car is almost dead toyo proxes H4 and new cooper cobra GTH on stock rims..i know i know, i'm getting some yoko AVS intermediate/toyo proxes FZ4 for my 17x8 eagle 077's).

Or

If the tire had a hard impact in the past (from a curb or something), it could have caused damage to the tire that balancing couldn't cure. My dad's '93 MR2 had the same problem (shakes at 60 MPH), I took the tires in to be balanced, but still wouldn't fix it. He got some new Nittos and the problem disappeared.

But be warned it could be something else. My wife's '85 Honda had the same problem as well. I got new tires, but the shaking problem was still there even after getting new tires.

once you get above 100mph, the vibrations should go away!

After about 100 you don't notice it anymore!

Usually my solution is just to turn up the music and all i feel is bass anyways. Good vibrations for a change!

have any of you guys with the vibrations had your CV joints worked on or had the axles removed since the vibes started?

If so, and you guys have the tools, remove one axle, rotate it a half turn, and put it back in. I replaced my wheels and tires twice, springs, struts, and spent over $200 at the tire shop trying to find the vibration. turnedout to be a funky axle vibration from where I'd had a grease monkey work on my car. after changing CV boots and putting that same axle back in-rotated from original position- the problem was permanently gone.
