well, these 5 guys who go to my school vandalized my max by egging it and breaking off the mirrors as you already know..they all admitied to bieng there and all admitied to participating in the vandalism. i got an estamite today or all the egg damage that was sustained. the owner of the shop said that wherever there was egg...that needs to be repainted so my estamite came out to $3,753.48 which isnt to bad considering i get it cash and dont even need to fix the damage. what do you guys think? should i get a higher estamite and **** them over for ****ing up my max or should i just let them pay that ASAP before i decide to press charges....BTW....they sent one of thier friends who wasnt there to come up to me at school every single day and tell me "look Andrew, they said that they are really sorry and would like to ask you not to press charges, 3 of them are already on probation and if you do, they are ****ed. they said they will pay as much as needed for the damages" i said fine with me.... he said "but isnt it gonna be under 2,000 bucks?" i said " hell no, 3700 fool!" he said "damn man, that much...well i guess thats that"...so thats the update.!

i say they give you $5000 or you press charges. If you sue for personal loss, pain and suffering, all that other legal crap u can get more out of them! All I know is that if they pled guilty, witnesses, ect....I would make them bleed for my max. Wether from the wallet, or anywhere else.

Yeah I would definitely make them pay more than just what needs to be done. They are getting out easy even if they have to pay $6,000!!!! If they are all on probation and they have a new suit against them that means that will all have to face jail time which means they will have to be out of school which means that they will not pass any class this year, plus if any of them get laywers for the case that will cost them big $$$ and between all of them they will have spent way more than $3700. I would get more out of them or threaten to press charges. Those scumbags deserve to give you every penny they have.

but when i told him about the 3700 he was surprized it was that high...and i dont want the cops to get on my case and start doing investigations why the estamite is so high...the cops requested a copy of the estamite....any more suggestions please....thanks!

well look aroudn and get the higest estimate you can, then give them that copy. Then get a lawyer and take them to court. File for legal fees, personal loss, pain and suffering, and anythhing else you can. You'll walk out of there with the money for a 2001 Max, or a rack of mods.

Anyone watch Judge Judy? If you do sue, don't take it to small claims. If you do, the largest amt. you can get is $5,000. Even then you have to show the estimates and stuff. Include cost of transportation while car is in the shop, etc. But, you need reciepts! Otherwise, I don't think you can get pain and suffering and stuff (though I would be sufferin too!) because its "just a car." And unless they harrassed you or threatened you, you can't get harrassment or nothing. If you told them$3700, then unless you have additional reciepts (again, check with a car rental place even if you have another vehicle to get prices for however long the car is in the shop.) then add the rent a car to the 3700 which should be around $4,000 and leave it at that. You've already obligated youself, just don't push your luck, you may come out burned/ not just egged!
