Does the clock itself have anything to do with the dash lights working properly? I removed my clock and replaced it with a new Air/fuel guage. Since then I've had nothing but problems; such as turn on the H lights, dash lights work. Shut car off, then back on later, turn H lights on, dash lights won't work! Did this with the ACC on, turned on lights, H lights came on but there was a clicking sound like from a rely and the rear defrogger light in the switch was blinking really fast with the noise. Hmmm, short? I think maybe I've just loosened a wire somewhere that I've connected to my Ungo Alarm during the install? Just wondering about the clock thing though? We all know they're posessed!

Nothing would surprise me. The cruise control switch on the dash has two bulbs in it. One of them has blown. This means that the resume feature on the cruise control doesn't work as the circuit is broken. Bugger!
However, since your problem doesn't appear to be the same thing all the time I would recheck your alarm wiring. If you still have the clock try plugging it back with all the other harnesses connected (including you new meter) and see if the problem is there.
Brent.

Now, it seems, that the guage lights only work when the door is open. Shut the door, they go off. There's still a rely "clicking" sound (very rapid I might add) directly under the dash. I'm going to retrack my alarm wiring and review what the schematics for the alarm wires are to trace the possible cause. Still a PITA! Rear defrost wont work either with doors shut!
