Problems with auto tranny on '94 GXE??
The article "Meet your RE4F02A" --http://www.btinternet.com/~d.brooks1/boxinfo.htm outlines major issues with the auto transaxle that is installed on the '94 GXE. In short, the article says the tranny only lasts about 100K miles. My '94 GXE just turned 95K.
Anyone have experiences with this? What problems have you come across and what solutions have you found? Should I be saving $$ for a tranny rebuild?
Thanks in advance !

you can last well over 100K on stock tranny, but it has to be kept up well
the 3rd gen auto tranny is a weak spot though so I would be prepared to have yours rebuilt eventually
a tranny cooler may help extend its life a little; it definitely can't hurt; look at the "sticky" thread at the top of this discussion about tranny cooler info
