I can't stand those automatic seatbelts. I am a pretty tall guy and sometimes when I get out or in I bump my head agains the seatbelt "thingy." WTF!! I hate it!!
Also, when I clean the inside of my car...I must hit that "thingy" a million times!!!
Anyone else have the same problem?

Ok..I'm done...I'd say today's therapy session was succesful

Thanks,
Roman

Dont need to bother with those automatic belts. Got my 4-point harnesses and dont regret the switch over. never really had a problem with them before. 4-points are awsome! Gets you in the race mood all the time.

92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed.

at least it's not the kind that attaches to the door! i've seen some belts attach to the door, so when you open the dorr your seatbelt goes out with it. anyhow...chicks dig my automatic seatbelt, they think it's so cool..like they've never seen them before?

I have mixed feelings about them...

EVERYTHING I FEEL ABOUT THOSE DAMN AUTOMATIC SEATBELTS:
When I have to quickly hop in the car, if its raining or something, they get in the freakin way, I end of tangling myself in the belt or banging something on the sliding thing. Same when I get out, I open the door to lets say, stick my head out a bit to see how close to the curb I am and the freakin thing takes a while to slide back up after I open the door and stick my head out, so I end up getting choked by the damn thing. It sucks when you move fast. When girls or my friends sit in the passanger seat they get scared of them, but its good because when they start *****ing about how they want to take the seatbelt off, I say that the chime will distract me as will the red dashboard light. So they have to suffer. The belts are good in a way that u dont really forget to put it on after u get in the car. might just save your *** from a no seatbelt ticket sometime. I usually have only the chest part on anyways, so my waist is free and i am not really strapped into the seat.

then why even bother wearing it??
during a front end collision the shoulder belt doesn't help u from sliding underneath the belt and crashing into your dash..but hey who am i to say what's safe for u..i'll see u in the ER.

so mario andretti how long does it take you to get strapped into the car? i'm sure that's not a ez task to do. how did u mount the seatbelts? did u bolt them somewhere? are you running stock seats?

Offcourse I have aftermarket racing seats. 4 points would look gay with stock seats. Well they arent too hard to put on because they are not 5 point. The belts are all mounted to the chassy so they are definitely not going anywhere in a wreck.

insurance

When u goto your insurance company and tell them about your car, you're supposed to tell them about all the safety features and features that help prevent theft. It'll lower the cost of insurance.

Safety features:
ABS
Auto seatbelts
4 wheel disc brakes
Driver air bag

Theft:
Alarm
Tracking device

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now.

yeah, chicks and foreigners think it's high-tech. i had a guy from south africa in my ride and he asked if i put in those sliding shoulder straps. i love it because i never have to waste time or think about putting on my seatbelt. i just hop in the car and go. my friend has gotten a few seatbelt tickets, and i never half to worry about it. i never get hit in the head or tangled up in the belt. i don't know what you guys are talking about. it's kinda a bust when you try to pick stuff up off the street, but i'm used to it know, so there's no problems
