i have a 89 Maxima SE auto which i loved but gave to my sister. my dream was to have a 92-94 SE 5 speed which ive had for 2 months. it makes the VTC noise which i hate but but its a damn fast car. i love maximas and despite many problem exp[eriences ive had, i have to believe this car is one of the most reliable becuz all the books say so. i was driving alon in my 92 SE 5 speed the other day and the front left speaker made a loud pop noise and a loud SQUEAL. like a scream. at first it would go away and sometimes i could drive and all the speakers were fine. the speaker isnt blown but every once in a while it just makes this loud noise ( like a girl screaming) and it wont stop for a long time.. is something wrong with the amp? could it be a loose wire? and expert know what the prob is? im very impatient and was about to bea tthe **** out of the car. i was so mad that i just drove it hard and it was fast. please help. also my email is maxima1016@aol.com. please IM or email me if you can help, thanx

This is common for the Bose units. The capacitors on the speaker amplifier leak and cause the horrible sound, or the amp just stops working. You can get the amps serviced or exchanged swapped. It has been posted here before with the URL to the site. Do a quick search and you should find it.
