i am planning on buying a Fuba antenna to mount on the roof. i want to get rid of the stock antenna and fill in the hole left from where it was. does anyone know of an easier procedure of doing this than having to have sheet metal welded over it and all that. like is there some sort of plug i can put in there and then bondo over it. anyone have any good suggestions or ideas on this? its something i would like to do soon, but i dont want to start until i know exaclty what i am going to do.

you can put some fiberglas on the inside kind of like a crude patch and then use bondo over it. It would be better than welding sheet metal on top cause welding is bad and it will cause the area to rust faster than say putting a bunch of fiberglass in the hole and then using bondo to blend it to the rest of the metal around it it still a lot of work cause the whole back quarter will still need to be painted to blend the paint to the original paint. It's a lot of work for just a small hole.

Hope this helps you decide.
