There is someone on EBAY claiming that he is selling the same front strut bar as Courtesy Nissan at a reduced price.
He claims that it will fit all Maximas from 1989 thru 1999.
Can someone verify that it will in fact fit a 1992 SE?

i dont think it will fit, courtesy says in their ad that the strut bar is not for 92-94 se's, u have to modify it for the VE engine.

And THAT'S the bottom line, cause SEguy182 said so!!

But seriously, he's right, OLDMAX. It'd be nice, though if you could get one to go on without modifying it. I mean, if you gotta bend the FSTB, doesn't that defeat the purpose???

I have really no clue, but someone a while ago mentioned raising the bar off the strut towers a bit using a bunch of washers. Not sure how far you can carry this though. I might try this approach... someday (see sig).

Say, I was wondering: Even if you manage to fit your FSTB over the engine barely with say 0-1/4" clearance, won't the engine smack the bar anyway whenever you go over bumps, rev engine, engage clutch hard, etc, etc? This issue hasn't come up yet I think....

I am a master at getting the FSTB to fit the VE.I have the new courtesy bar for the 95-99 on my VE right now I did mod it but I noticed no difference in performance. I fit it on stock but it was digging into my manifold and A/C hose.

DONT BID ON IT!! I've already gotten ripped off by one of those guys. He got kicked off of ebay 'cause of so many Fraud reports. I gave him money and he hasnt sent the strut bar or replied to any of my e-mails. Just be aware of that. There are 2 of them I think. They both have similar page setups, same pictures and are both from New york!!!

I HATE people that try and rip other people off for nothing else other than their own selfish gain. We're trusting enuff 2 send out our money for a product, and people take advantage of that!

I rarely wish ill will on anyone, but I hope those two got buried under a ton of rubble, the maggots!!!

I would assume it wont fit
Courtesy Nissan used to make a flat style bar that would fit the VE, but they have discontinued that model and now have a round bar that doesn't fit the VE without modification
I was lucky enough to get the FSTB before they changed the design

I believe that I am the master...

I modded it though, I'm sure many of you guys have already seen it and know what I did to make it fit *not bending it, which defeats the purpose*. I also have no clearance problems at all. I need to paint that bad boy, it's starting to show some rust...

Actually, I was working on some grilles earlier

This wouldnt be cheap to do since I'd work my butt off doing it. This is waaay harder to do than a mesh grille and I charge nearly $100 for that. I'd probably charge maybe $175-200 for it, but that would include the price to get it powder-coated. I know that sounds pretty expensive, but keep in mind this is all custom and is pretty labor intensive to actually get it to fit right and make it look pesentable. It was a b$tch to do on my own car, but since it was my car, I was happy to do it. If I'm gonna do all that again, I'd like to pocket a good sum for my troubles....lol.

What are the small filters for in your engine bay. Did they give you any benifits. If so where does one purchase these filters.
By the way nice job on the strut tower brace.

I think he means that tiny filter next to the throttle body. Same colour as the big filter.

It is only a breather in place of the tube that usually would be there. I am pretty sure it is not a way to gain HP just only preference/Looks.

I don't know about the 2000+ FSTB, but anything before that should fit fine.
