I've installed an Auto Meter Air/Fuel gauge where the clock used to be. Everything's wired up right and even sautered the connection to the O2 sensor. With the signal wire connected, the meter lights up the first red bar (LED guage/ red= lean and yellow = stoich). Volt meter reads about .01 at signal wire. With the signal wire to the guage disconnected, the guage lights up last bar green (like it is supposed to). If I have the signal wire to the guage connected and unplug the O2 sensor and start the car, then all the led's light up dimly and the last green is brightest (green = rich); rev the car and the bars read about stoich. Volt meter at idle reads about .08 I believe. What is going on here? I had this hooked up on a sensor I had for two years, thought that was the issue, so bought a new Nissan sensor, no change. I thought about buying a one wire O2 sensor and installing it on the other side or something? Suggestions?
