Thanks to all who replied to my question on which 3rd gen to buy and what to watch out for. It seems that the VGE engine has the most power and since I auto-x I would like to know which cars and years had the VGE motor.

theres a ve30de and a vg30e. your probably thinking of the ve, since it has more power. the ve came in all 92-94 se's. any gxe 89-94 or se 89-91 had the vg. the ve has 190 hp and the vg has 160 hp.
