How likely is it for a 93 max se's stock bose tape player to completely fry so that there is no sound but the leds and stuff stay turned on, you just cant hear anything? Anyone ever see this before? Have suggestions for me?
Thanks
John

it's probably your speaker amps, not the deck itself. but it might be your deck. run a search, or check the stickies.

I'm having about the same problem. Radio works fine, but no sound from tape. Lights come on, motor runs, etc, just no sound. Sent a note to Willman's Electronics, they said it was likely the deck.

It could be the drive belt in the radio thats slipping, When they get old the belt stretches. I'm pretty sure their is a Technical Service Bulliten about replacing the belt.
Currently mine will make a screeching sound once the deck has warmed up (but not all the time). I plan to replace the belt once I get the chance.
