problems!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having some problems with my baby!!! Sometimes the automatic door lock in the drivers side door won't work. Sometimes the car just won't start. I have to turn the key maybe 5 or 6 times and then if it still won't start I would have to put it in neutral and try it and hope it works. Whenever I do finally start it up put it in drive and give it a little gas she makes this clicking noise that is present until I hit about 25 to 30 mph. Can anyone tell me what's up? I am going to start doing a lot of work on my car soon and I need to know if it is going to be worth my time and money.

hmmm

the part about it having tobe in nuetral may be because the car isnt all the way in drive when you are trying to start it. That happened to me because it was on a fuse and I used that fuse for something else ( probably my stereo) because i had no other fuses and I wasnt able to start the car in drive or get the key out.

Hmmm... Let's see what I might think:
1)(Sometimes the automatic door lock in the drivers side door won't work.) - If it's intermittent, your door lock timer may be going bad or shorting out.
2) (Sometimes the car just won't start.) - N34JZ is on the right track, I think. Also, you might want to check the neutral safety switch, as well.
3) (...she makes this clicking noise that is present until I hit about 25 to 30 mph.) - I'm wondering if this might be the VTC solenoids? It's hard to say, based upon what you've said. I'm just speculating on this.

I hope that this has helped. Drop me a line if you need any more advice. Good luck and enjoy the ride!!

I took off the door panel too look at the switch and I tested it and you are right, it has a short. The water that comes into the window from either the wiper fluid or the rain got into it and shorted it out. I ordered a new one yesterday and it will be in early monday morning.
I did put a whole new stereo in my car after I blew out three of my bose speakers a couple years ago but my baby does start. Maybe once in every 15 to 20 starts will it not start and when she decides not to start it will take me about 6 minutes to get her to start and that is between trying to start her in neutral and starting her in park. I don't know what the deal is.

When it doesn't start try pushing in the shift button and pushing it as far forward as you can. Mine does this same type of thing some times. I think it is some sort of neutral safety switch. See if pushing it further into park helps.

I have the not starting problem with me GXE, i have found that if you will push in the little key release button near the ignition and just play with putting the key in and out like once or twice, it will start. I think that it may be a problem with the ignition possible not think a key is in it or something. I don't really know for sure though.
